I moved to North Carolina from Minnesota, and I wasn’t the only person who anticipated about my style evolution. When I did live in MN for the past 20 years, it would be playful, adventurous and always in the “what can I do to make my style better”. I was surrounded by the national Mall of America and premier outlets combined in a growing art and fashion industry. As such, fashion opportunities knocked on the door.
Now that I live in NC for three months, my style has evolved to something classy, simple, and sometimes playful. In this look for example, I am wearing a pleated ombre dress with an H&M baby blue jacket and finished with a petite vintage clutch.
I don’t think my style has changed because I live in a small town of NC, where there is limited access to trending fashion and art life. An accurate reason would be that I got married! Ahahah. Boy I never thought marriage can influence my style….Comment below if you can relate! Since marriage I want to focus less time “updating” my look and spend more time on my future. I’ve been committed to wearing something that feels like me without the hustle of experimenting too much.
